Policy

Terms of Use

Here are the rules for reading our guides and using our tools on this website. Project work is governed by the written quote you accept, which these terms supplement.

Last updated November 3, 2026

Short answer

You may use the guides and tools for your own business purposes. The content is general information, not a guarantee of results. Project work is agreed in a written quote that sets out the scope, timing and price, and no score or ranking is promised.

Using this website

Using pagelatix.online means accepting these terms; anyone who does not accept them should stop using the site. We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows when they last changed.

Guides and tools

The guides, planner and other content are general information about website performance. They are written carefully and sourced, but they are not tailored advice for your site, and the documentation they rely on can change. Use your own judgment, and test changes on a copy of your site before applying them to the live one.

Reading, printing and linking to the guides is welcome, and so is quoting a few lines with a link to the source page. Copying a whole guide, or passing one off as your own work, is not.

No guarantees of scores or rankings

Nothing on this site promises a particular PageSpeed score, Core Web Vitals result or search ranking. Lab scores vary between runs, field data depends on your visitors, and search rankings depend on many factors outside anyone's control.

Project work

Quotes

Every project is set out in a written quote: the scope, the templates and metrics involved, the timing, the price in US dollars and the payment schedule. Work starts when you accept the quote in writing.

Changes in scope

If we find something outside the agreed scope, such as a hosting limit that blocks a planned fix, we will stop, explain it and quote it separately. We will not carry out extra paid work without your written agreement.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for giving us the access we agree on, keeping your own backups, telling us which tools and features must keep working, and confirming that key features behave as expected after release.

How we work on your site

Where the platform allows it, we make changes on a staging copy first, release them in small steps and keep a log of every change with a way to reverse it.

Third-party services

Your site may depend on hosting, platforms, apps and tools run by others. We cannot control their changes, outages or pricing, and our work does not cover problems they cause, though we will help you understand them.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid for that project, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Our guides link to documentation and other sources. What those pages say is up to their owners, and it can change after we last looked.

Trademarks

Google, Chrome, Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights and Search Console are trademarks of Google LLC. WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify are trademarks of their respective owners. Pagelatix is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
